Designed by Nils Jonsson for one of Sweden’s most distinguished 20th century furniture makers back in the 1960s. This 'Gigant' sideboard for Troeds Bjarnum is a beautiful and simple design, sure to blend in effortlessly with any contemporary or vintage/retro home.
Focussed on high-end clients, Troeds sought lightness of form and functionality, producing pieces that were desired by design addicts. The simple lines and shapes epitomises the desired mid-century minimalist look as it eradicates the need for protruding drawer handles.
The prestigious Troeds maker’s stamp is still present on the inside of the cabinet which also boasts dovetail joints and moulded inset handles. A truly wonderful vintage piece which we're sure won't be in stock for long. The long length really making this a show stopping piece for any interior.
Fully restored and in good condition. Some light wear may still be present which is simply commensurate with age. The top drawer features blue baize lining and dividers. It also appears that at some pint someone added extra dividers to the second drawer. These are no longer present, but the holes are present.
Measures approximately 220cm long, 43cm deep and 79cm tall.
