This stunning bent ply and glass opaline wall light by Uno & Östen Kristiansson for Luxus Vittsjö is the perfect item to add interest and light to any room of the house.
With a minimalist mid-century design, the bent ply wall mount and shaped opaline shade really give this light a sophisticated elegance that is sure to enhance any interior.
Swedish designers and brothers Uno & Östen Kristiansson, best known for their lighting and mirror designs, were particularly active in Sweden from the 1950s to the 1970s. They were prolific designers with a clear design aesthetic that effortlessly fitted within the Scandinavian modern style. The pair have become appreciated by vintage lovers all over the world, and their pieces are highly sought-after on the vintage market today.
In general good condition, with light wear commensurate with age. The light has been rewired with 3 core twisted nylon flex (approximately 228cm) and doesn't need hard wired into a wall and can simply be plugged into any UK 3 pin plug socked. We've also fitted it with a new brass lamp holder that requires a standard B22 bayonet bulb.
Measures approximately 18cm tall, stands 20cm from the wall, has a 15cm diameter shade.
