Founded by Ernest Bevin, Remploy opened their first factory in 1946 in Bridgend, South Wales with the company’s original workforce mainly made up of disabled ex-miners. Today, Remploy remain one of the largest employers of disabled people in the UK.
After a good scrub the table top is silky smooth to the touch once more but does feature some wear, scratching and markings, commensurate with age. The table frame has had a fresh coat of oil applied, cleaning and conditioning the wood making it look its best once more. Again there is some minor wear commensurate with age and as photographed.
Measuring approximately 92cm long, 64cm wide and 76.5cm tall, with an under table height of 65cm.
