The Art Deco period is probably one of the most iconic design movements of the 20th Century. Associated with both luxury and modernity, there's no wonder this style has had such a huge impact since being first introduced in the 1920s.
This stunning small opaline table lamp is a fine example of Art Deco design and is sure to add some vintage glamour to any home.
The stepped chrome gallery is new and a perfect match to the original lamp base. We've had the lamp rewired with approximately 197cm of cream twisted nylon flex and fitted a new 3 pin UK plug. Inside there is a new chrome lamp holder which takes a standard B22 light bulb.
The shade is not original to the base, but a sympathetic match. We've also had a new metal ring nut made in order for the new gallery to attach securely to the arm of the lamp.
In general good condition given its age, with some light surface wear, scratching and tarnish to chrome as to be expected. The glass shade itself is free of any chips or cracks and just features the odd small mark here and there.
Measures approximately 25cm long, 15cm wide and 28cm tall, the shade can be adjusted slightly to angle the light where desired.
