Vintage Small 1950s Teak Austinsuite Desk / Dressing Table

This beautiful piece of furniture is extremely typical of its stylish 1950s era, and features many gorgeous design features that really make it stand out.
Produced by Austinsuite who together with the likes of G-Plan, Stag, Ercol, and Nathan, were amongst the major British furniture manufactures of the Mid 20th Century.
Originally intended as a dressing table, this item was customisable when first purchased and could include an oval, adjustable mirror that was integrated to the central section of the top above the right hand drawers. Without the mirror this would make a perfect desk, small enough for most rooms but with ample storage for everything you need.
After a full strip, sand and re-oil it's looking beautiful once more. That being said there are still some areas of wear commensurate with age, including some feathering to the veneer of the drawers, some large fills that have been sympathetically blended back in, and some small dints and marks. The drawer pulls have been re-brassed and are nice and shiny once more.
Measures approximately 107cm wide, 44cm deep and 73.5cm tall to the lip, with a 58cm under table height.
