This beautiful single cast aluminium and fibreglass Model 115 Tulip dining chair is a mid 20th Century design classic. Almost floating atop a single central leg, the shape is very typical of its era and just as modern today as the day it was first introduced.
Designer Maurice Burke was most famous for the Tulip table and chairs and worked mainly with English manufacturer Arkana. He designed many pieces of furniture in the 1950s and '60s including his also very well known chrome and leather lounge chairs for Pozza.
A great item to create an eclectic mix of chairs around a dining table or for use as a desk chair. The brown upholstery is original and in good general condition for its age. The neutral colour pallet allows the chair to blend into any interior while still remaining an eye catching piece.
Overall the chair is in good condition with wear commensurate with age, including scuffs to the base and back and light wear / marks to the upholstery.
Measures approximately 79cm tall, 51cm wide, and 57cm deep with a seat height of 47cm.
