Vintage Pair of Danish Teak Easy Chairs by Grete Jalk for France and Sons

These classic teak easy chairs have become somewhat of a design icon. Designed by Grete Jalk, who is recognised as a hugely important Danish modernist designer, working at a time when women were somewhat of a rarity in the design world.

Produced in partnership by France and Sons this is a winning collaboration, both sides renowned for their exquisite quality and attention to detail.

Modest in style but with a beautifully organic feel highlighted by the cigar shaped arm rests and curved back.

The chairs are very comfortable due to the box springs to both the bottom seat support and back cushion.

In lovely condition with the usual wear commensurate with age including some light scratching and marks. We have given the solid teak frame a fresh coat of oil, conditioning the wood and ensuring it looks its very best once more.
