This captivating oil on board portrait painting is sure to make any wall look instantly better.
One of our favourite paintings we've had in stock to date, but one that seems to definitely divide opinion.
The central male figure is holding an eerie puppet head, just visible in the bottom right corner. The strings are not visible, his left eye missing. We're unsure whether these features are intentional or whether the painting remains unfinished. However the fact that it's framed would possible suggest the former?
The mystery surrounding the obviously skilled unknown artist and the almost surrealist subject matter simply adds to the allure and attraction of this particular painting.
In general good condition with the usual light surface wear, and markings.
Measures approximately 95.5cm wide, 116cm tall and 3.5cm deep.
