This striking oil portrait painting by artist Gwladys Shepherd is sure to make any wall look instantly better. With lovely muted blue and grey tones, there is a quiet calm about this painting, the sitters almost stern expression instantly captivating.
With possible inspiration taken from the likes of Lucian Freud, we've been unable to find anything out about the artist, or find any other examples of their work. There is a gallery label to the back with information regarding the Dumfries and Galloway Fine Arts Society. We tried to reach out to them but with no luck unfortunately.
In general good condition with the usual surface wear and marks commensurate with age and as photographed.
Measures approximately 63cm wide, 78.5cm tall and 3cm deep.
