This lovely set of drawers is modest in design but bursting with charm and style. The simple clean lines and inset handles really make this piece a classic in mid-century modern British design.
Stag Furniture has been a heritage British brand since its origination. However it was not until the early 1950s that Stag transformed from a 'cheap', down market company to the respected brand we know today. This was mainly down to the introduction of Architects and designers John and Sylvia Reid. Thereafter it was considered to be one of the most popular furniture ranges, its design, style and quality were well known and praised.
Designed as part of Stag's 'C (Cumberland) range', it was uncompromisingly modern for its time and machine built as part of the companies development into mass-market furniture.
The drawers came to us in a very bad state and have been fully stripped and refinished making them look lovely once again. That being said there is still some light wear commensurate with age.
Measures approximately 75.5cm wide, 46cm deep and 74cm tall.
