The T1 lounge chair was designed by Rodney Kinsman in 1966 and was one of the first designs produced by his newly-formed company OMK.
The sling chair was shown to Sir Terence Conran and was quickly picked up by his Habitat store in 1967, quickly becoming one of their most popular models. It soon became as design classic and has since been included in the V&A's permanent collection.
Constructed from chrome-plated tubular steel the chair is extremely strong and lightweight, with the sling constructed from coach hide black leather.
In general good condition with wear commensurate with age including some cracks, scratching and markings to the leather most noticeably as photographed.
The chair has had a through clean and metal polish and as a result is looking absolutely beautiful, a comfortable show stopping piece sure to make any home instantly more stylish.
Measures approximately 78cm wide, 77cm deep, and 70cm tall with a 33cm seat height.
