Vintage Mid Century Modern 1950s Tripod Standing Lamp and Shade

This stunning standing lamp is a must for any Mid Century enthusiast. With its striking black turned tripod wooden frame and elegant brass detailing, it's just as stylish today as the day it was made.

The rattan drum shade compliments the base perfectly and adds a natural tactile texture to and already gorgeous item.

Although in general good condition there are signs of visible wear commensurate with age and use. The base features some cracking, chipping and general surface wear to both the wood and brass, while the shade features some dints and staining to the inside lining as photographed.

It also looks like there has been some slight modification at some point, with the legs no longer rounded but cut at an odd angle. As a result it takes a little playing around to have the lamp standing fully straight.

The lamp has been rewired with approximately 157cm of twisted 3 core antique gold nylon flex with the addition of a floor push switch and is fitted with a new chrome bayonet lamp holder (B27) and 3 pin UK plug.

Measures approximately 164cm tall in total. The shade measures approximately 46cm in diameter, and 38.5cm tall.
