Vintage Mid Century Modern 1950s Standing Floor Lamp and Shade

This stunning standing lamp is a must for any Mid Century enthusiast. With its striking black turned wooden stand and elegant brass detailing, it's just as stylish today as the day it was made.
What really sets this lamp apart however is the absolutely beautiful wooden slatted lamp shade. We think this has been hand made judging by its construction and really is a gorgeous piece. The oversized proportions of the lamp also make this a real stand out piece.
Although in general good condition there are signs of visible wear commensurate with age and use. The base features some chipping, dints, marks and general surface wear to both the wood and brass, while the shade features some dints, bowing and some splits to the inside rings as photographed.
The shade is very fragile so please take care when moving etc. It also takes a little bit of jiggling to get the shade to sit straight, but with a bit of patience it will sit right.
The lamp has been rewired with approximately 196cm of twisted 3 core cream nylon flex and has been fitted with a new brass bayonet lamp holder (B22) and 3 pin UK plug.
Measures approximately 182cm tall in total. The shade measures approximately 46.5cm tall and 40.5cm in diameter.
