Vintage Low Teak Drawers / Media Unit by Beaver & Tapley

Beaver & Tapley was founded in London just after the First World War by Newman Richardson. Together with designer Robert Heritage, they pioneered wall fixed or ‘floating’ units that did not need ‘ladders’ or a supporting framework.
The company was also known for producing ranges of modular furniture that could be collected over time and arranged to suit any living space. Such flexibility came as a result of their functionalist, streamlined aesthetic which grew in popularity during the mid to late 20th century and remains highly sought after today.
This lovely low set of drawers / media unit is from the 1980s Tapley 33 range and is modest in design but has plenty of charm and style. The simple clean lines and exaggerated shape make this piece perfect for any living space.
In general good condition for its age with the usual light surface wear throughout, including stains and discolouring to the inner white drawers. The top has been newly refinished, ridding it of many stains and while not 100% perfect is looking beautiful once more.
Measures approximately 168cm wide, 54.5cm deep and 35cm tall.
