Once used in Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery which was opened by the Carlisle Corporation in 1893. This lovely glazed specimen drawer cabinet, circa early 20th century, would have proudly stored some of the museum's vast and varied collections.
As can be seen from the present stickers, it was used to store jewellery. We've left these labels on as part of its long and interesting history.
A fantastic and unique storage solution for any home or business. Not only aesthetically pleasing but practical too, sure to make keep any items safe and secure.
In general nice condition with the usual surface wear, scratching and markings to the wood as to be expected from an item of this age and nature. A fresh coat of oil has been applied, cleaning and conditioning the wood ensuring it looks its very best once more. We've also had one of the bottom side trims replaced as it was missing, this has been professionally and sympathetically blended in, looking good as new.
Measures approximately 48cm wide, 33cm deep and 70cm tall. Inside, each drawer internally measures approximately 38.5cm wide, 23.5cm deep and 3.5cm tall.
