This absolutely beautiful mirror is modest in design but bursting with style and charm. Its dark curved wood along with its shape and hidden design details (see photographs of the back) really give the impression of quality and sophistication.
From some research and previous similar mirrors we think it's by Danish designer Aksel Kjersgaard.
Designer Aksel Kjersgaard created and produced furniture at the height of the Mid-20th Century Modern movement, his contribution to the both the Danish and Scandinavian design history is of undoubtable importance.
In 1955 Aksel Kjersgaard began producing cabinets, dressers, and sideboards carrying all the notable hallmarks of Danish Modernism, only using woods with beautiful grains such as rosewood and teak, all of which featured clean lines and a minimalist aesthetic.
In general good condition with wear commensurate with age, including some clouding and light scratching to the glass along with some marks and a small old triangular fix to the central joint as photographed.
Please note that it is incredibly difficult to photograph all flaws and scratching on mirrors due to all the reflections, but we have captured and described as best we can.
Measures approximately 66cm wide, 46cm tall and 2.5cm deep. Able to be hung both landscape and portrait.
All of our prices include VAT, please get it touch if you require a VAT receipt.
