Vintage Danish Scovby Extending Round Dining Table in Rosewood

This gorgeous round extending dining table by Scovby is brimming with classic Mid-Century Modern charm. 

Skovby Møbelfabrik is a renowned family owned Danish furniture maker founded in 1933. Known for high quality Scandinavian teak and rosewood dining tables, sideboards, and chairs. The company is still in business today with both its new furniture and vintage pieces still remaining popular.

Boasting a simplistic design, very typical of its 1970s era. The detachable legs sit proud from the table top, a beautiful design feature that makes this table all the more desirable. 

The table comes with two leaves (that need stored separately from the table when not in use) transforming it into a large oval. You can put one leaf in or both. When fully extended we estimate that the table would comfortably sit 8-10 people. The legs can be removed from the top in order for easier transportation into doorways etc. 

The table came to us in lovely original condition and just features some minor scratching and wear commensurate with age and use. The red rosewood colour is nice and vibrant still and would make a gorgeous centre piece to any dining room. 

Measures approximately 72cm tall with an under table height of 61cm. When round the table measures approximately 115cm in diameter. When both leaves are in the table measures approximately 215cm long (each leaf is 50cm wide.
