This stunning solid pine dining set by Rainer Daumiller is the perfect addition to any eclectic interior.
Comprising of a chunky round table and six chairs. One of the most comfortable dining chairs we've ever sat in, the adjustable back rest moves with the body, ensuring maximum comfort whilst sitting.
German-born designer Rainer Daumiller has always been drawn to sustainability and simplicity, his choice of pine as his main material demonstrates a dedication to sustainability that was way ahead of its time.
Solid in construction, simple in form, and sculptural in expression, its straightforward materiality and robust composition pay tribute to Daumiller’s lifelong affinity with nature.
The table came to us in a sorry state with heavy stains all over. As a result we've stripped, sanded and re-oiled the table making it look wonderful once more. Unfortunately the table came to us with the middle leaf missing, so this once extending table is now only a fixed circular shape.
With wear commensurate with age and use, we've left all the six chairs with their wear for all to see, as photographed. We have however applied a fresh coat of oil to each chair, cleaning and conditioning the wood, ensuring they look their very best once more. As to be expected with natural materials there are inconsistencies with wood colour and markings from chair to chair, making them all the more desirable as a result.
The table measures approximately 130cm in diameter and 70cm tall, with an under table height of 62cm. Each chair measures approximately 76cm tall with a seat height of 45cm, 48cm wide and 45cm deep.
