Single Vintage Danish Model 32 Teak Dining Chair by Kai Kristiansen
Pickup currently unavailable
Like many of Denmark's design greats, Kai Kristiansen (1923), apprenticed in cabinetmaking before enrolling in the prestigious Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. Not long after Kristiansen opened his own studio and began to create furniture in what would soon became known as the Danish modern style.
His designs have been so well received over the years by critics he has enjoyed continued success as one of the most enduring Danish designs of the 20th century.
This particular chair is the Model 32 and features a beautiful moulded back and gorgeous sculpted arm rests.
The chair has been fully stripped, sanded and refinished along with new foam and upholstery and is looking beautiful once more. As with any restored piece there may still be light areas scarred with age and simply commensurate with its former life.
Measures approximately 75cm tall, 54cm wide and 53cm deep, with a seat height of 45cm.
