This striking satellite chair is the perfect chair to enhance any interior.
Designed in the late 2000s by Jane Dillon and Tom Grieves for Lloyd Loom. Constructed of chrome and paper cord the chair takes obvious inspiration from the infamous Diamond Chair by Harry Bertoia.
Founded in 1917, Lloyd Loom furniture has been a staple in homes all over the world, famed for its special weave and incredible durability.
Lloyd Loom furniture is still built in a traditional way using materials established throughout the years. The loom, sometimes called weave, is still made from craft paper woven onto wires. The crafts person fits and attaches the loom to the frame of the Lloyd Loom chair by hand, this gives every hand built piece of furniture its individual character and charm.
The chair came from a local furniture store, Vaseys that is about to close down. Dead stock from the early 2000s, it has never been used and has been kept in the store warehouse of Vaseys, patiently waiting for a home.
Vaseys is a historic family-run furniture retailer in Carlisle and Penrith with a legacy spanning 135 years. Established in 1890, the business evolved from local auction rooms into a prominent regional furniture store, selling high end furniture.
