This beautiful hand turned wooden table lamp base by Dennis French is the perfect addition to any home. The simplistic sculptural aesthetic and handmade nature makes this piece brim with personality and charm.
Turner Dennis French has worked in wood since leaving school in 1948. He spent 5 years as an apprentice learning to make traditional Cotswold furniture and since 1958 has lived and worked in Brimscombe Hill.
He now specialises in domestic wood ware, hand turned on a lathe and produces salad and fruit bowls, platters, mirrors and small decorative objects.
In general good condition with light wear, and marks commensurate with age, the base has been re-oiled, conditioning and cleaning the wood, making it look its best once more. We've also had the lamp rewired with cream 3 core nylon flex (approximately 200cm) along with a 3 pin UK plug. Requires a standard B22 bayonet bulb.
Measures approximately 11cm tall (17cm to the top of the lamp holder) and 14cm wide.
