Richard Horny’s furniture is beautifully made and of superb quality. This early 1960s sideboard is in our opinion one of his most attractive designs with a beautiful linear symmetry, well balanced proportions and an understated elegance.
With what has become his signature the sideboard features the classic ‘Hornby reeded drawers’ and is made from a mixture of teak and Afrormosia, an exotic hardwood with a wonderful dark and rich colour.
Sure to make any interior space instantly better this beautiful piece is sure to become the focal point of any room.
After a full restoration the sideboard is looking beautiful once more. That being said it looks to have possibly undergone some previous restoration work and there are patches to the veneer that have become very thin. These areas have been painted in to match the rest of the wood as much as possible.
Measures approximately 183.5cm long, 41cm wide and 76cm tall.
