In 1809, entrepreneur William Bourne discovered the strength and quality of Derbyshire clay. He set up a factory employing local craftsmen and thus creating the notorious brand 'Denby' we know and love today.
First produced in 1966, Sherwood was marketed by Denby in the mid-1960s under the name of Langley a ‘natural homemaker’ series, and was based on one set of shapes, in a rich olive green glaze.
This beautiful teapot and sculpted handled milk jug is modest in design but with it's natural colour pallet, and ribbed texture is sure to look great on any dining or kitchen table.
In good clean condition with no chips or cracks.
The teapot measures approximately 22.5cm wide spout to handle, 14cm deep and sits 17cm tall, while the milk jug measures approximately 14cm wide spout to handle, 9cm deep and sits 10cm tall.
