This lovely set of drawers is modest in design but bursting with charm and style. The uncomplicated, simple clean lines really make this piece a classic in British mid-century modern design.
The furniture manufacturer, Avalon was a British company based in the town of Yatton in Somerset. At the time of the Industrial Revolution a furniture factory was established under the name of Avalon, initially manufacturing church pews and school desks.
Featuring four drawers of differing heights, this handy set would be perfect for any room of the house. We're unsure as to what wood they're made out of, but it looks like some kind of tropical hard wood.
Fully stripped, sanded, knocks filled and refinished, this once tired set of drawers is looking beautiful once more. As with most restored pieces there are still some minor signs of wear commensurate with age and use, however there are no nasty stains and the colour has been balanced and is nice and rich once more.
Measuring approximately 76cm wide, 42.5cm deep and 88.5cm tall.
