Vintage Two Tone Blue and Cream GPO 746 Rotary Telephone

These rotary telephones are not only an iconic and familiar design to most, but also invoke a great deal of nostalgia.
The Tele 746 was designed jointly by Ericsson's Telephones Ltd, The GPO Engineering Department and the Council of Industrial Design. It featured new ideas and a more modern streamlined shape from designs already used in several telephones introduced during the previous decade.
Featuring smooth curves and ergonomic design, this model was lightweight, colourful and versatile. The same telephone could be used for many applications by changing the removable dial surround and also had a blanking plate covering a hole which could be removed to allow different switches to be fitted.
Fully converted to work on the new UK phone system with a new PSTN line cable plus a 330k Ohm resistor so it does not effect your internet connection. Some phone lines may require an additional ADSL micro filter which is available for a couple of pounds from the likes of eBay etc, however these are often provided with broadband routers / modems.
The phone is in general good condition with wear commensurate with age and use, including scuffs, marks and some surface scratching, along with a little crack to the centre plate.
Measuring approximately 24cm wide, 22cm deep and 12cm tall.
