This absolutely stunning set of four teak dining chairs by Niels Otto Møller for for J.L. Møller are the perfect item to add some Mid 20th Century Modern sophistication into your home.
In 1944, Niels Otto Møller founded J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik in Denmark, a company that has received many awards, including the Danish Furniture Prize in 1974 and 1981 respectfully. Upon winning in 1981 the judging jury explained that it was for the company’s ability to combine the best craft traditions with modern furniture manufacture. Something the company has always held firm to its high quality level. It is said that each design took Møller five years to complete. It is this work ethic which is why the Møller collection is relatively small for a company that has been around for more than 70 years, but precisely this as to what makes Møller so special.
Designed in 1951 these gorgeous chairs are probably one of Møller's most recognisable designs and exemplify the quality of design and construction he became known for. A timeless piece of furniture that look just as good today as the day they were first designed.
The chairs have been fully restored and are looking absolutely stunning once more. The frames have been stripped, sanded and re-oiled balancing up the colour and ridding them of stains and scuffs. That being said there may still be some light wear commensurate with age.
Each seat has been expertly re-strung with paper cord and really make these chairs look fantastic once more.
Each chair measures approximately 79cm tall, with a 44cm seat height, 49.5cm wide and 52cm deep.
We have another 4 in stock that are currently unrestored. Please get in touch if you require any further information about these.
