This fantastic solid teak media unit exudes quality. With its subtle and understated design, along with stunning wood grain, the small proportions in no way match the large impact of this gorgeous piece.
The family from which the the cabinet originated lived all over the world and it would appear they had the cabinet, along with other beautiful pieces, made in the Far East in the 1960s by an obviously skilled craftsman. Made to suit the designs of the time with its tapered, angular floating base/legs, the family clearly thought enough of this extra nice piece to bring it back to the UK where they have resided ever since.
Displaying gorgeous warm, rich tones, the shapely figure of the grain has a slight rosewood look to it. The quality is absolutely superb and is sure to be the perfect piece to inject some Mid-Century sophistication into your home. Chances are, you won't ever see another like it.
The cabinet has been fully stripped back and refinished but as with most items of this age, there may still some signs of minor wear. The back right had corner was chipped off, but our wonderful restorers at Wynn Griffiths and Tarr have done a fantastic job of patching this in.
Measures approximately 126.5cm long and 46cm wide, and 51cm tall.
All of our prices include VAT, please get it touch if you require a VAT receipt.
