This lovely set of drawers is modest in design but bursting with charm and style. The simple clean lines sculptural handles and splayed legs really make this piece a classic in mid-century modern British design.
Alfred Cox Ltd. Was set up in the 1950s by its owner of the same name. Cox's company worked mainly with walnut and teak designing and producing quality affordable furniture that was praised for its innovative and modern designs.
The drawers came to us in a very bad state and have been fully stripped and refinished making them look lovely once again. That being said there is still some light wear commensurate with age, along with some sympathetic patches to the veneer in a couple of places.
