This stunning drapers display mannequin hand is the perfect item to add an eclectic touch to any interior.
We purchased the item from a very nice local gentleman who told us it came from 'Mallinson's Drapery' in Southey Street, Keswick which later became 'Miss Phillip's Dress Shop.' He then purchased the shop and in 1978 and reopened it as 'Gypsy Menswear.'
Probably circa 1920s/1930s it is beautifully made with all 5 fingers able to be articulated (the thumb and first finger fully articulating at all joints). Attached to a gooseneck base, the position can be easily moved for the best display angle.
Manufactured by Harris & Sheldon Ltd. of Birmingham who were well known for producing quality shop fixtures and fittings.
In general good condition with wear commensurate with age and use, as photographed.
Measures approximately 47cm tall, with a base diameter of 14cm.
