This beautiful chair by Finn Juhl for France & Son, Model 192 is the perfect item to inject some mid 20th Century sophistication into any home. We found this chair tucked away in a corner, nestled between a mismatch collection of rudimentary plastic and plywood stacking chairs at a local church hall. A lucky find that we're pleased to shine the spotlight on once more.
Finn Juhl is perhaps one of the most influential designers of his time, renowned for his iconic furniture designs and for revolutionising the Danish furniture tradition with his sculptural and artistic vision.
Constructed from solid teak, the frame has been fully stripped, sanded and re-oiled making it look its very best once more. That being said there are some marks and dints that are simply commensurate with age and use. The black/charcoal fabric upholstery is what was on the chair when we purchased it. The metal brackets to the back were missing so we've had these made based off others we found online.
A modest design that is sure to create maximum impact and comfort wherever it's placed.
Measures approximately 71cm wide, 56cm deep and 83cm tall, with a seat height of 47cm.
