Vintage Paper Cocoon Style Table Lamp.

Made from natural fibres moulded into an umbrella shape with wire, this fantastic table lamp is the perfect addition to brighten up any mid-century interior.

The ‘cocoon’ style lamps were originally manufactured by FLOS and designed by Archille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni back in the 1960s. We think our lamp is a later copy though, possibly German and unfortunately has no makers marks.

In good, used condition for its age with discolouring to some of the plastic, chipping to the paint on the inner shade holder and general age related marks all over and as photographed.

The lamp provides a lovely diffused light and holds two standard screw bulbs, turned on via a nylon pull cord. The shade can also be easily adjusted down the main shaft of the light by simply losening and tightening the plastic nut.

The lamp has been rewired with cream twisted nylon flex and fitted new a UK 3 pin plug, very in keeping with the overall look and style of the lamp.

Measures approximately 35cmcm in diameter and 60.5cm tall in total.
