This stunning set of black Tulip dining chairs are a mid 20th Century design classic. Almost floating atop a single central leg, the shape is very typical of its era and just as modern today as the day it was first introduced.
Designer Maurice Burke was most famous for the Tulip table and chairs and worked mainly with English manufacturer Arkana. He designed many pieces of furniture in the 1950s and '60s including his also very well known chrome and leather lounge chairs for Pozza.
A beautiful set sure to catch the attention of any guest into your home.
The seat pads are all new and have been custom made in a gorgeous beige boucle fabric, adding extra texture and luxury. The chair shells along with all the cast bases show obvious signs of wear and tear, including scuffs, scratches and marks commensurate with age and use, but this by no means detracts from the overall beautiful aesthetic of this wonderful set and simply adds to it's charm and personality.
The chairs all swivel making them practical and extremely comfortable.
Each chair measures approximately 47cm wide, 53.5cm deep and 81cm tall, with a seat height of 50cm including the cushion.
