This striking painting is sure to look great on any wall, enhancing any interior or adding a focal point to any gallery wall.
We have had a series of three paintings by Greg Cooke in stock and after listing the first one received an email from someone who recognised the figure in the painting. It read...
"Hi I recognise the painting you have by Greg Cooke, he was my art teacher in the early 1980s in Maidstone Kent. It's a self portrait. He was a great teacher very much liked. He exhibited locally in the summer holidays I remember once in Maidstone library probably in the late 80s."
Perhaps taking influence from surrealism greats such as Salvador Dalí, and René Magritte, Cooke has chosen bold, bright colours to really make this self portrait stand out and be noticed.
Dated 1970, the portrait measures approximately 76cm wide and 92cm tall. The large size of this unique oil on hardboard piece makes all the difference to its appeal and is sure to be a welcome addition to any eclectic interior.
Featuring small areas of paint loss, marks, scuffed corners and general wear all over commensurate with age.
