This absolutely stunning set of six solid teak dining chairs by Niels Otto Møller for J.L. Møllers are the perfect item to add some Mid 20th Century Modern sophistication into your home.
In 1944, Niels Otto Møller founded J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik in Denmark, a company that has received many awards, including the Danish Furniture Prize in 1974 and 1981 respectfully. Upon winning in 1981 the judging jury explained that it was for the company’s ability to combine the best craft traditions with modern furniture manufacture. Something the company has always held firm to its high quality level. It is said that each design took Møller five years to complete. It is this work ethic which is why the Møller collection is relatively small for a company that has been around for more than 70 years, but precisely this as to what makes Møller so special.
These gorgeous chairs are probably one of Møller's most recognisable designs, a timeless piece of furniture that look just as good today as the day they were first designed.
The chairs are in their original condition and come with wear and tear commensurate with age and use, including marks, scratches, dints, and some minor discolouration from touch. We've given each of the frames a fresh coat of oil, rejuvenating and conditioning the wood, enriching the colour and making each chair look their very best once more. The rattan seating is also original and in remarkable condition.
Each chair measures approximately 75cm tall, with a 44cm seat height, 51cm wide and 47.5cm deep
