This striking glass ceiling light designed by Michele De Lucchi for Artemide is sure to quickly become the focal point to any room.
Michele De Lucchi was born in 1951 in Ferrara and graduated in architecture in Florence. During the period of radical and experimental architecture he was a prominent figure in movements like Cavart, Alchimia and Memphis. De Lucchi has designed lamps and furniture for the most known Italian and European companies, as Artemide, Olivetti, Alias, Unifor, Hermès, Alessi.
Its modernist design really set it apart from others, its almost floating glass disc shade and other grey plastic components giving it a space like quality.
In general good condition with light wear commensurate with age and use, including some discolouring and marks to the fabric cable.
The cable can be pulled a little further through the flush mount, in order to make the drop a little lower. Requires two E27 bulbs.
Measures approximately 67cm wide, 55cm deep and 49cm tall from the ceiling at its current cable positioning.
